Go to Dalry, or the South West New Town as it is rapidly becoming known, and experience 2 great Restaurants. For superb Italian food visit La Partenope. For a top class Scottish option visit First Coast. They are opposite each other less than 5 minutes stroll up Dalry Road from Haymarket. Both offer early evening (pre 6.30pm) menus where you get first Class meals for a fixed price of £9.95. Bon Appetit!

I love Burger Man at the Pear Tree and the hottie Oyster Boys at the Pleasance Courtyard. Only a £1 for a really fresh West Coast Oyster - bargin!

L'Alba D'Oro sounds like the place to be! It brings to mind fresh crab and turtle from New Orleans, La. So fresh and truly indescribable to taste.

Scotch Mist sells fabulous Scottish Cuisine with a continental twist. It has a wonderful ambience and all the little extras that make a difference - white linen on the tables, attentive staff, private dining room if required and a nice bar for pre- meal drinks. Excellent value for money and a really enjoyable evening out

The Revolution on Chambers Street for excellent food and drink at a reasonable price, with friendly genuine staff. Dinner for three mouthwatering low-carb plates with two house reds and a coke, two sweets and a hot choc, superb at under 40 quid. we all liked it, but even better when I saw the bill.

I think the Mosque is a very unique eating place, and well worth a visit. I love the food and what they are trying to do there as regards integrating themselves with the community. A popular hang out for students in need of a value for money meal.
