Steve irwin was a top bloke who touched the hearts of all of us and the animals he cared for, and everything he did. Please dont kill the stringrays just because one killed him he would be gutted if he knew this was happening, it was just a freak accident and very sad for all of us and his family, please keep steves spirit alive by not hurting our wildlife and sea creatures as they are not at fault, just a matter of wrong place wrong time.

Steve Irwin will be greatly missed and I wish his beloved family my deepest condolences. As for the slaying of these magnificent creatures (stingrays) all I can say is simply this...Steve would be completely devistated by what some are out there doing to the stingrays. This was what he beleived in, what he LOVED and what he fought for; for all to love, respect and preserve nature. I am certain he is looking down in dismay at what some people out there are doing. This was a complete accident and as dangerously as he lived, he LOVED those creatures--that is why he was filming them. For Steve as well as the natural beauty of the sea---STOP this nonsence and remember Steve for who he was and what he beleived in! Again my prays are with his family and hopefully Bindy will continue her fathers legacy.

I think the killing of the Stingrays is like adding insult to injury.
Steve loved all living creatures, and I'm sure he would not fault these beautiful creatures.
are they being killed to revenge Steve? I'm sorry, but I seriously doubt that.I'm sure there are alot of crazy People out there just Looking for an excuse to harm Wildlife, and sadly, they chose this Time to do so. You know , We have all spoken of Man's inhumanity to Man,but it seems to me there needs to be more Conversation about Man's inhumanity to Animals.Like the Song Said-"Bless the Beasts for in this World they have no Voice, they have no Choice."I pray this Stops , and they catch those responsible. My deepest heartfelt Sympathies to Steve's Friends, and to his Wife and Children.
But no- This has nothing to do with him.If they say it does, then, they are liars in addition to murderers.
They need to be locked up in my opinion.

I cannot believe that these beautiful and innocent creatures are being tortured and killed so inhumanely. I cannot believe that these people who are doing this are so blind and ignorant, or thick to be quite blunt. Do they not realise that animals do not have the same emotions or intellect as people, they do not go out of there way to hurt and kill people for the sake of it or some sick perverted pleasure like people do, that poor animal is guilty of nothing but trying to defend itself or reacting to a fearful situation. Steve was in the stingrays territory and even though he would never have intentionally threatened or wanted to harm the stingray, he must have done something to have provoked this response. I love Steve as much as the next person, I find his untimely death devestating and tragic, but I certainly do not hold the Stingray at fault, all it was doing was swimming in its own natural environment and getting on with life, Steve was the intruder on its territory. Steve knew himself that his work involved elements of risk and danger that could one day prove fatal, he accepted this because he loved animals and felt that they were getting a really raw deal and that someone with the intelligence to care and to help them needed to support and protect them from others who didn't care for their survival and extinction. Steve was a rare individual he died because of the love and commitment to wildlife, he would be totally gutted as I'm sure his friends and family are to know that these moronic people are carrying out this sick act. I use the word moron because I am really outraged and I absolutely hate it and cannot tolerate the thought or excuse that these people are doing this because they loved Steve. I am a true believer in actions speak louder than words. These people obviously didn't care as much for Steve as they pretend to, because if they did they would know that this is the last thing that Steve or his family and friends would want, it is totally agai

I would like to send my condolences to the Irwin family and all those at Australia Zoo. I have been watching Steve On TV for many years and always found him informative and passionate in the conservation work that he was involved in, but one incident disturbed me and that was a comment that Steve made after the incident with the croc feeding demo and his then infant son Bob. The comment was that he was always in complete control of the situation. Being a RVT and groomer I am around animals all the time with various sicknesses and health related issues and my feeling is that you are never in control of domesticated animals never mind wild animals especially when you are in there element such as Steve was with the stingray. When you work with animals all the time it is very easy to become complacent especially if you go long periods of time without incident. I believe that may have happened to Steve. All the articles I am reading are saying how docile stingrays are but not very many are saying how deadly and unpredictible they can also be. I hope this posting will help people to understand how dangerous and unpredictible wild animals can be. They are Gods creatures and should be protected and respected. I will miss Steve and will always remember the conservation work he has done and the great contributions he has made. I will also pray that people don't take out their frusrations on animals of any kind. God Bless You Steve

I am sorry but I doubt very much that this was someone who knew what Steve Irwin was all about, I think it is probably the work of some sick nutter.

I doubt this is the work of any fans of Steve Irwin. It is the result of ignorant people who heard in the news about the attack and are now killing/torturing the same species. This is no different than the millions of sharks who are hunted and killed out of fear and have been since Jaws came out in the 70s. It's pure machismo and stupidity, not vengeance. And I also doubt any of those idiots are reading this.

Killing those animals won't bring STEVE IRWIN back!

Stop the stupidity and ignorance that destroy wildlife and continue the work of Croc Hunter!

These people who call theirselves fans of Steve Irwin are really a bunch of idiots. They are shaming Steve's good name and everything he stood for, for the sake of what. Do they honestly think it will bring him back or what? Steve was a type of person who lived life on the edge and he knew the dangers of his job. He would not approve of this senseless killing of the Stingrays. They are shaming him more than anything. I will very much miss getting up on Saturdays and watching Steve and Terry on another adventure learning about animals that no one ever really cared about before Steve Irwin. He was the one who came into my home on the TV and taught not only my children but me more than I could have ever imagined about crocs. I thought of crocs as an animal but not one that could ever have a name or personality. Now I even had a favorite at his Zoo. He had a albino that I really would have liked to seen in person. And no one could have ever got the world to love crocs like Steve Irwin. Now my daughter even asks to watch him. She is six. I know the world has lost someone who was a fighter for the animals. He is gonna be deeply missed by my family. Our family sends his family our deepest regards. Terry is a very strong woman, which Steve knew as well, she will get her children through this difficult time in their life. I just hope she stays on to keep the Zoo going in his style of taking care of things. I agree with the other person who said these people are a poor excuse and are a disgrace to the human race. The Stingrays do not understand what they have done, people please, quit killing the Stingrays. Steve is probably looking down at these people wondering what in the hell they were thinking. Terry, Bindi, and Bob, you are all in my prayers everynight. Life is too short but Steve Irwin lived his life to the fullest and died doing what he loved. We love you Steve.
