I hope that this baby gets the treatment that she needs to have a "normal"life and not be treated as a freak side show. It is almost christmas and we as "rich" westerners spend so much money on food and drink etc for the festive season, maybe if you launch an appeal through your newspaper, we could all help this wee soul. If people gave the price of a bottle of wine we would have the cash in no time. Heres hoping.

#1 - As nice as your sentiments are, don't try to force a guilt trip on us 'rich westerners'. India IS NOT a poor developing country. It has MANY VERY wealthy citizens of its own who could easily help this child and the hundreds of thousands of other children in similar positions.

Regardless, I do hope this baby receives the treatment that she needs to lead a normal life, stuff having people over to look at your 'tumours'. The position the parents are in doesnt bode well, cant afford the operations and people bringing food and gifts for a swatch......mmmmmmmh.

Perhaps the parents of the child would refuse the help you offer. Consider this: if they feel that their child is a reincarnation of a goddess with multiple limbs, wouldn't they think it a terrible sin to cut off the "limbs" of said goddess?
