If they grow flowers with white petals this would lower the Earths albedo thus reflecting more sunlight & cutting warming that way.

It is amazing the amount of coverage you can get worldwide for the silliest global warming story.

Yes, but you'd need a lot of lawn mowers to cut all those flowers. What are they going to run on?

Strangely enough this the harvesting of mixed grasses and plants grown on degraded land was invented in Scotland in the 1850's. This is what peat consists of and the Lewis Chemical Works on the Island of Lewis was the first company in the world to commercially convert peat into oil. Another forgotten Scottish idea stolen (sorry rediscovered) by our cousins over the water in the States.
