There's nothing wrong with more public date...but 'porky pie' news bulletins are an absolute disgrace.

Back to mediaeval times. England allied with Flanders and Scotland with France. I admit to laughing when I first heard this story on the news but Faye is right, it is a disgrace to dupe people with false news stories. Yves Thiran should be made to resign.

it was meant to provoke a genuine debate about indpendence in those countries as they have an election in six months. we are in a similar boat here we a real debate started not a one sided unionist that is in the scotsman. i wish we had as pro indpendence media as they do and that might get our message through the unionist lying media

i think the unionist lies in the scotsman and the media and general are as big a lie as that broadcast in belguim at least they admitted it was a lie afterwards to like here where they admit there lies thirty years later when the freedom of information act forces them to and after the oil is starting to run out. ( i am refering to the government of the seventies lying that scotland could survive on its own then to keep scottish oil to help bail out an almost bankrupt england it was revealed last year under the freedom of information act)

Sounds funny, reminds me of Basseye, which also hit the press for all the wrong reasons but it was very funny and also could spark political debate.

Brilliant Idea, lighten up #1 and #2, at least it will get people debating and making the effort to try and change their political future. We should try it and watch westminster get more knickers in a twist.

This is funny , and typically Belgian. I lived there for four years, have to admire the sense of humour there. Just a shame for all the Flems who wouldve been jumping up and down for joy... if any of them actually watch the francophile channels that is.
