Iran is extending its influence over certain cities in western Afghanistan, manufacturing and shipping in IEDs, training fighters, and overwhelming Afghan local governments by expelling almost 100,000 Afghan refugees. And the US is in no position to stop any of it. Karzai has to deal with Iran, and he's making the best of it.
