I am having great difficulty in deciding whether this case is a breach of civil rights or a good example of preventative policing. As a mother myself all I can conclude is that having a son in prison is preferable to having a son dead in a botched bomb plot.

Then I read that he used to hold prayer meetings in their flat, so I don't believe that they didn't have any clue about the extent of his radicalism. The problem is that this is a culture that believes in 'honour' and family ties above all. They don't feel that they owe any obligation to the wider society. Still, we must remember that although their number is growing in this country, there will always be more non-Muslims than Muslims and although they can/will make life difficult and violent, at the end of the day, they are few and we are many.

The Bible has NOT been re-written, but there were MANY heresies that were not included from of old. That is how Satan is luring more people away from God. One thing that Christians and Muslims can agree on is that there is ONE God and that Satan does his best to destroy anyone he can. Those who mock God will nevertheless see Him face-to-face one day, and there are three religions in the world who have some idea of what is going on in the dimension that we cannot see, just as no one knew of something called germs a few hundred years ago because no one had ever seen one.
Just because something was written and just because it survived from of old does not mean that it is something that actually belongs in the Bible.
