Well I am Very Pleased to hear this News!

To Start With, raising the age to purchase Alcohol is a waste of Time!
Teens will always have the means to get their Drink!

Also you become an Adult in Law at 18years old in previous drink related and more, as in Voting!

The proposed Measures are a 'Breach in Human Rights'

I hope the Scottish Parliament are put in Place and shown, they cant Act as a Law unto themselves!

Kenny MacAskill needs to get his act together and enforce existing legislation. That way there would be no need to try and bring in peculiar laws relating to age and minimum prices etc.

One area that is within his competence though is to start punishing the parents of underage repeat offenders; not only for drinking, but for repeated violence and vandalism etc.

Thank christ for that. At least we have the Westminster government to protect us from the crazy, misguided schemes that the SNP would foist upon us.

Independence? Huh! I sincerely hope that never happens.

Today's Vote

What more can be done to stop drunks congregating in the city’s streets?
The police should step up patrols and move them on
More use should be made of public drinking bans
Nothing, such people will always be with us
