Another attempt at "the big lie" by the military dictatorship. Presumably they got their instructions from Peking.

Boycott the Chinese Olympics.

This is what the other side of the globe says
Australia cuts off Burma's elite
Let me get this clear. The phase elite hold a special meaning. It is for the rich and famous. Now we re-read the headings again. If you cut of the relationships with the rich or elite as the header says, the Australian government is the worst I would know. We are trying to get the riches and pay their little of wealth to the poor. When we cut of the relationship with the poor that need help, what is the scansion? I think this is not what Mr. Howard has I mind. What he is saying that he will chop off the banking accounts of the rich who have the accounts in the Australian bank if they do not succumb to the Poor’s plight. This is same as Mr. Bush who is hooting all over the world for democracy even when I know is not applicable or at least not true democracy. The poor will remain poor. Burma will survive in the same hands as the Afghanistan warlords and still call this democracy.
Is that the picture I draw?
I thank you

Why no comment / report by the Scotsman about Scottish companies involvement with the Junta ? e.g. the Aberdeen based Energy Services giant Wood Group, blood on your hands Sir Ian ?
Also, correct to concentrate on China but what about India : supply of arms and provision of military training, this from the home of Gandhi and Nehru, shame on you India !
