£100m deals in education

BUILDING services group Carillion has won nearly £100 million of business on two educational projects.
The contracts include a £42m project to refurbish two schools in Essex, and a £57m contract to build 1,307 student rooms for Aston University in Birmingham.

Chief executive John McDonough said: "Education is an important growth area for Carillion and we have established a leading position in this market."
