ABOUT 25 jobs have been secured after ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne awarded a major ship maintenance contract to an island boatyard. A total of 24 vessels will be overhauled over a three-year period at the Port Bannatyne yard of the Ardmaleish Boatbuilding Company on Bute.
The MV Loch Riddon will be dry-docked after CalMac timetable changes to the winter schedule on 22 October.
