BBC Scotland's political editor, Brian Taylor, must be cursing mid-summer by-elections after he was ruled out of the on-screen coverage of Glasgow East after a holiday fall in Crete.
The 53-year-old suffered a broken arm, black eye and five stitches in a head wound after the incident, and was left with a scar on his brow.
