A 30-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in connection with the suspicious death of a Polish immigrant at a flat in Brechin.
The Polish national, who has not been named, died in Dundee's Ninewells Hospital on Sunday night after Tayside Police and paramedics were called to a flat in the town's Montrose Street. He is understood to have sustained abdominal injuries.

Tayside Police said they were treating the death of the 43-year-old as suspicious.

A spokesman for the force said yesterday: "Tayside Police can confirm that a 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 43-year-old man at a flat in Brechin on Sunday.

"The deceased is a Polish national. Further details will not be released until next of kin have been fully informed and the deceased has been formally identified."

He added: "Inquiries are continuing and report on the full set of circumstances surrounding the incident will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course."
