DUNDEE United manager Craig Levein has laughed off suggestions that Rangers' hectic schedule will hand his side an advantage when the teams meet tomorrow.
Rangers will travel to Tannadice on the back of a tense Uefa Cup draw with Sporting Lisbon, but even though they endured yet another busy midweek, Levein does not expect them to be heavy-legged come kick-off.

Walter Smith's side have banked an im
pressive haul of 52 points from a possible 54 since losing to United in October and remain firmly in the hunt for four trophies this term.

United are eyeing a victory in order to keep their own European aspirations burning and Levein insists nobody at Tannadice will get complacent by thinking their opponents will be out on their feet. He said: "People have expected Rangers to come off the back of these European nights and struggle but it hasn't happened.

"The tally of points they have picked up since we beat them here at Tannadice is phenomenal and when you consider they have played so many midweek games it really is an amazing record.

"A lot of that will be down to Walter's level of experience. He knows what it takes to have a team in good condition for a Wednesday or Thursday away game in Europe and then be ready for the league match at the weekend.

"I'd bet they won't be training too much these days – it will be a case of going from game to game, warming up and warming down in order to preserve their energy.

"So we certainly won't be fooled into thinking they'll come here suffering any after-effects of the Uefa Cup match."

Levein did not watch the game on Thursday because he is confident that at this late stage of the campaign neither side are able to produce a surprise.

Rangers will tie up the SPL over their next two outings. Then it's off to Benidorm for those who keep the faith.

Shame that all the tarrier pubs will be completely dead there.

Adios 'amigos'.

"Rangers will tie up the SPL over their next two outings."

So what's the game plan for Sunday then?

Get gubbed for 85 minutes and then rely on a weegie ref to bail you out?

Yet again.

To the tune of "Blue Moon":

One shoe,
You've only got one shoe,
You've only got one shoe,
You've only got one shoe.

One shoe,
You've only got one shoe,
You've only got one shoe,

You've only got one shoe,

Another 3 points for Rangers. Utd have done well under Levein (who wants to leave) but we are Rangers.

It seems that Cousin may get a run out in preparation for the Lisbon return. Cousins desire to secure a move to the EPL this summer will be Rangers best bet of seeing themselves over the remaining hurdles for their season. Cousin is the best all round striker in the SPL and if he had played the same games as Saintly Scotty (and curtailed his dubious sulky nature)would have scored more goals.
Tomorrows team for TheBoke.
Spills
Witty Carlos, Daily, Papac
Thomson
JCD, Davis,Novo

Cousin.

Subs McC for Cousin, Naismith for JCD.

This will secure 3 points for the SPL and give the winning team a run out for next Thursday (as long as we do actually win RAmora,), where Thomson will drop out for Hemdani,Daily for Weir.

boke.

Not too likely, given that Weir is suspended for the game in Portugal.

It'll probably be the other way round, with Weir playing tomorrow and Dailly playing on Thursday.

I don't think there's any chance of Cousin starting tomorrow either.

Oh dear...hurting are we that the Champions elect and CIS cup winners are visiting your scabby little ground.

Title no 52 is all but in the bag.

Maybe we'll parade the CIS cup to let you see what the trophy is like.

Dundee Hibs will be put in their place tomorrow as the Rangers continue their relentless pursuit of a world record 52nd league title.

#6 BE I happily stand corrected. Maybe he will give Webster a run out tomorrow as Wattie will have to get someone to partner Daily in CD next season.

We've never been referred to as "scabby" before by one of the great unwashed one-shoed minks. Hard to take that seriously, really.

We're already aware of what the League Cup looks like, thanks, since we were holding it last month before Kenny Clark wrestled it from us. But I can assure you that we'll be stepping up security outside our trophy room, given the orcs' penchant for stealing silverware.

And finally, a polite reminder. P1ssing in other peoples' gardens might be acceptable (or even encouraged) in one-shoe land, but it's seen as ignorant and socially unacceptable in the civilised east.
