Pilot hero's medals may fetch £8,000

MEDALS awarded to a wartime pilot who hunted German and Japanese submarines in flying boats are expected to sell for up to £8,000 in Edinburgh.
The decorations awarded to former commander of the Queen's Flight, Air Marshall Sir Richard Gordon Wakeford, who died last year aged 84 at Fochabers, Moray, are to be auctioned on Saturday by Shapes auctioneers.
