Published Date: 25 August 2008
THE ticket chaos which has plagued the Fringe continued last night, after organisers announced that an initiative to sell half-price tickets on the final day had been cancelled.
The event, called Fringe Ticket Frenzy, had promised an "everything must go" policy with tickets selling at half price today.

However, Fringe organisers said they had abandoned the cost-cutting measures because of the previous problems they had experienced with printing and issuing tickets.

In an e-mail sent to members of the Friends of the Fringe scheme, organisers said: "The Fringe Frenzy has been cancelled for this year. With the issues which we have experienced in 2008, we have deemed this the most pertinent route to take."
