Doesn't anyone realise that four years after maximum class sizes for P1-3 are introduced that the effect will move up the school and ALL primary classes will be 18.

Judging by these artcles and the lack of any comments these implications have not been considered. In my kids school the effect will be that they wil be one or two classrooms short, potentially classes will have to composited (not popular with parents) and need two or three new teachers and increased support staff.

Has this been budgetted for and what are the proven benefits?

Scotland has never had anywhere near world class schools under Labour, and never will. Its not in New Labour's interest to educate more of the masses. Educated people start asking awkward questions of those in power. They also tend to be more confident. Confident educated Scots might even think themselves capable of governing their own nation one day!
