CHANNEL 4 started its search for a new Carol Vorderman yesterday – announcing it was looking for a man or woman to fill her shoes on Countdown.
Vorderman, who said she was told to take a 90 per cent pay cut to stay on the show, leaves at the end of this year.

How can anyone stay on a show where he or she receives only 10% of their former pay?

Maybe she can sue for wrongful dismissal because the terms they offered her are ludicrous.

Aye, and we'll end up with another cerebrally challenging game show like "Deal or no deal" which works on the premise that you have to pick a box! How thick do the programmers want us to be???
