BOBO Balde has joined Valenciennes on a contract until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old former Celtic player had been without a club since the end of last season, but spent time training with Valenciennes during the summer before eventually agreeing a deal.

"I was here a month ago and the coach wanted to see how I was doing," Balde told the French club's website.

"There was a small setback then and we had to wait, but they called me back a few days ago so I came back.

"I was very happy with the news and signed this afternoon."

Bobo BALDE and ROBINHO are good reasons for bringing on your own players. They are not alone, there are others who only put out enough to get by, if you were a player would you care if you won the national cup of an other country, money aside. Balde was a cynical professional, who sat and sucked up his contract because he had Celtic over the proverbial barrel.
