PASSENGERS on the main Edinburgh to Glasgow rail line will see services halved to half-hourly and journeys lengthened from 50 minutes to one hour and 20 minutes from today until Friday.
The Edinburgh-Bathgate line will also be closed for a week while work is carried out at Newbridge junction.

The old BR would have this work done without line closure of such magnitude.
The government of the day would simply not have allowed it.
