Hamilton refused to give up and gave themselves hope of snatching a point from the game when they pulled a goal back with 11 minutes to go.
A superb long cross from James McArthur into the box found substutute Derek Lyle, who left Kello with no chance with a glancing header from 10 yards.

Kingston could have killed of the hopes of their hosts when he pounced on the rebound, after his free-kick had been blocked, only to see his shot fizz across the face of goal and wide of the upright.

Offiong then vainly appealed for a penalty late on but again the home side failed with their claims and Hearts returned to Edinburgh with maximum points.

Hearts avoided a hangover from their shock Co-operative Insurance Cup exit when they returned to winning ways at Hamilton in the Clydesdale bank Premier League.

Goals from Marius Zaliukas and Andrew Driver secured the three points and ensured there would be no lingering fallout from Wednesday's epic second-round cup tie against Airdrie.

Accies did hit back through substitute Derek Lyle late on but it was not enough to prevent them from slumping to their second successive top-flight reverse.

Interesting to read across on the Beeb site that Marian Kello made his debut for us today.

Anyway, still early days but the league table looks a whole lot better than it did at anytime last season. Work to be done but we're getting there.

Could have sworn I was at Hamilton - Daft of me going there when we were obviously at home according to the headline.

Ta ta Karapidis......full time - off with his shirt and gave it to someone in the crowd - Expect this was his last game as he will be off to Salonikas this weekend.
One negative though is who picked him to play for the last month out of position......Vlad - specifically to have him in the shop window as I posted on here a couple of weeks back.
Mind you I wish Vlad had been making the choices for substitutions last Wednesday as leaving Obua on for 125 minutes was shear lunacy by Casbah.

Just something to maybe note - after Karapidis left the pitch (rest of team already in the changing room) Nade came on and went to the fans and gave his shirt away...............Is he on his way as well ?

Todays performance - Who cares - we won ....
Well to tell the truth we were at times pretty poor and have played better and lost.Hamilton were absolute junk. Still don't care - 3 points is what mattered.

Miko was given a two minute dressing down by the "head policeman" for signalling the score to the Hamilton fans that were giving him dogs abuse as he was warming up.Wouldn't have happened if some totally sad basstered hadn't rushed down the stands stairs to complain that he had been offended. Total and utter VVanker. What a fvcking hero the Hamilton bloke must feel!
Lastly - Yes I know he needs games , but Obua was garbage again. It's like playing with the Miko of a year ago. Just like having 10 men in your team rather than 11. At least it proves Casbah is picking nearly all his own players. Lets hope DO improves soon as carrying a passenger is dodgy at the best of times.

Forgot - 4rse Cameron on real radio - Rear Done is definately coming to Hearts. Does anyone actually believe this futile rumour ?????????Has anyone EVER believed it ?

The most sparsely populated county in Wales is where you will find Britain's happiest place, say researchers.

Powys tops the list of 273 districts, with Edinburgh apparently the most miserable place in Britain.

I thik the researchers are wrong, looks like one half of the Capital will be very happy tonight. However....

4 In a row coming your way!

As the Weegies delight in singing at us when Hearts are playing the bigot brothers - Edinburgh is rife with "gays" or certain words to that effect.....eh read on Weegies (taken from the Daily Rioter)

POLICE who busted a gay orgy at a top nightclub were mistaken for strippers because of their uniforms.
Up to 30 men in "various states of undress" were having sex in a cordoned-off area behind a screen at The Arches in Glasgow.
Some even carried on after realising the officers were there.
A source said: "The guys involved in the orgy thought the officers were strippers in police gear.
"I expect they were waiting for them to get their truncheons out.
"A few realised and made a quick exit but most of them were actually spurred on by the police's presence."
Now The Arches - part-funded by public cash - could face closure after councillors suspended its licence.
Cops were tipped off by a former staff member about indecency at a monthly men-only night called Burly.
The club has been running at The Arches since 2004 and is aimed at gay men aged over 25.
Promotional material for Burly says: "We attract bears, skinheads, leather, rubber and kilted guys plus men curious to get tooled up.
"Any guys a bit shy about exposing themselves may come in denim."
At a licensing board meeting yesterday, Strathclyde Police Superintendent John Farrell went into graphic detail about the sex acts his officers witnessed.
Club bosses had denied there was a problem.
But when an inspector and a sergeant checked the premises at 2am one Saturday in March, they were staggered by what they saw. Supt Farrell said two men "were aware of the police presence but the sexual act continued".
The officers arrested one man for public indecency. He was given a warning by the procurator fiscal. Supt Farrell said his officers didn't handcuff any other men because they were so heavily outnumbered.

Now we know what all these Weegie footer fans get up to after their matches - It does

#7-9 WTF?

Wait until you sober up and read all that lot.

Good win. should have been sewn up by all accounts, but Hearts always do things the hard way.

Still hoping for a couple of decent signings before the window closes.

#16 and 18. Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Too obvious Im afraid. Must be Puntit or BTO.

The game itself was a decent result as Accies started the season pretty well. Its the game against Killie which I think will prove to be a difficult one. They are going strong but hopefully home advantage will give us the 3 points. The diddy cup result aside, its a decent start to the season. Mon the JT's!

Should really check the fixtures before commenting! Falkirk should be an easy game as they look doomed this year. Get the impression Yogi has given up and Cally should be a result too. Quite optimistic about the Jambos this year. I reckon third is a strong possibility.

Would the new Hearts stadium plan lead to overcrowding problems?
Yes, emergency vehicles would struggle to get in.
Yes, but these could be fixed by banning cars on match days.
No, there’s still plenty of space left for more fans.
