Published Date: 20 August 2008
HEARTS midfielder Kestutis Ivaskevicius has returned to parent club FBK Kaunas after a two-year loan spell at Tynecastle.
The 23-year-old Lithuanian made 28 appearances for the Clydesdale Bank Premier League club, scoring only two goals.

However, those strikes came in memorable victories over Celtic and Rangers, but he has not featured in either of the club's opening two SPL matches this season.

Hearts sport director Anatoly Korobochka told Hearts News Today: "There was just too much competition in Kestutis' position. We would like to wish him all the best for his future career."

Meanwhile, manager Csaba Laszlo hopes his international stars return for training tomorrow unscathed.

Ten of the clubs stars are playing for their countries this week and Laszlo does not want any injuries ahead of Saturday's clash with St Mirren.

"We have a number of players away," he said. "It is a case of waiting and seeing how they get on and how they are when they return to us.

"Hopefully everything goes okay and there will be no fresh injury concerns for the weekend.

"This is always a problem with international football but the other side is that it is good recognition for the club when we have players involved like this."

My only comment is why did it take so long to start to clear out the deadwood, and when are the other no hopers going?

Half of Hearts staff are not (and never will be) Premier league material. Our youth squad is a better bet!
We don't need a big squad if its full of reserves only!
There are a few good players at Tynie, but we need eleven, and that means another 4 ot 5 of genuine quality before we can challenge the old firm.
The new boys are either better than what we have or they have no future either, because it serves no purpose.

I ment to say expect another 6 player an more staff to leave Hearts.Whisper is Scaba has a way of dealing with Vlads ambitions for Hearts. They enjoy a open frank relationship and want the best for Hearts and its support.
To grow a new side means certain parts of the old are removed and then replaced.

i never thought i'd say this but it was intelligent play from kirk"

#16/17, he's probably in 'good' company with that view. very few media types mentioned it in match reports etc, only bill leckie that i saw from the red-tops.

seeing as we're hearing nothing about it from simulation crusader gordon smith, one can only assume that he holds a similar view.

It wont go away IRK.

As long as the present regime control Hearts turmoil and conflict will prevail.(Not to mention the fleecing of the fans)

You know thats the case.

Romanov and his cohorts have set the agenda and unfortunately people like you have swallowed the bait.

There are a few cynics on here who can see whats happening but it looks like it will take a major incident to get the others minds in gear.

The self appointed fans "Chiefs" apathy sums it up.

Have to agree with the jumbos here TommyTommy, your quick to say "do something" but when asked what you would do you go deafly quiet........ I'm not surprised....

FWIW if it was me as a Hearts fan I wouldnt really see what you could do right now.... Hearts have a manager now, the Lithuanian State Circus (Clowns a speciallity) seems to have closed up shop for the time being and to be fair the team seems to be moving in a more unified way (sadly), therefore until your "big incident" arrives what exactly do you expect them to do when the owner or his rep will just counter with, "you got a manger", "We're shipping out the dead wood", "We've just shelved 12m of debt", "the team looks like its improving"......

Theres not really a lot for them to shout over, although I do think that with the mad one there its only a matter of time before the "big incident" occours as you put it (well, heres hoping anyway, all these half happy jambos really ruin my day at times).....

tommytommy,

Just back and see that there are a couple of sensible posts.

I dont consider that there has been a positive change rather an attempt to make the fans docile again.
Its a matter of having to give a little to keep the gravy train running.

The rent paid to Kaunas for dross remains to be clarified.
What were/are the dozens of Lithuanians on the clubs books paid for?
How were these salaries paid?
Is this another ploy to empty Hearts accounts?

Why dont you pose these questions to the clubs reps?
Get transparent verfiable responses.

The Bednar deal stinks of ripping off Hearts fans.

The financial detail of the accounts is unexplained.
The fan who asked about this at the meeting got told to shut up and to stop being disloyal.

Assets fail to match expenditure to the tune of £18 million.

A new enthusiastic manager-who talks nonsense- who is learning to tow the line if he wants to stay in employment wont put the situation to right.

A reasonable start to his reign i would say but behind the scenes nothing has changed.

Other fans groups have had their Romanovs and it has taken bankrupcy to get them off their knees.
It happens irrespective of on field performances.

By the way,

Vic -you are meant to be blanking me yet you comment.

The debt for equity is exactly that.

It is getting shares at a knock down price and it has happened because the banks want their debt repaid.

You would be better asking about the misssing transfer fees and the interest that they ought to have accrued rather than deluding yourself that Romanov has the interests of HOM at heart.
44

victorian of gorgie ,

21/08/2008 11:56:12

44vic.Nonsense my man

So your solution is to "ask questions".....?

All questions that can be answered by more knowledgeable Hearts fans than myself, let alone the clubs' accountants.

We may not like some of the transfer dealings or our 'connection' to Kaunas but there is NOTHING to suggest there is anything illegal going on.

Every supporter of every club questions where the money is spent (ask a celtic fan about Graveson or a rioters fan about Webster) and they will always receive vague answers. Unfortunately it is how football is run........we are in a slightly more unique position but I stand by one thing: if Vlad wants to destroy us then he is going about it in a funny way.
48

Indy Rep Kid...,

21/08/2008 12:08:23
ThomasTipple:

One more thing: if you really do believe that Vlad is operating illegally when it comes to transfer fees then I would suggest you approach the relevant authorities.

Maybe the EN could take the lead and expose Vlad for the money-launderer you clearly beLIEve him to be?? Would be quite a scoop.
49

tommytommy,

21/08/2008 13:03:16
No verification of that lie from vic .
A lie and everyone knows it.

If Hearts are valued at over 90 million as vic states then who is responsible for this ?

No one in their right mind believes that Romanov and his mates GAVE Hearts £12 million because they are good guys.Do you vic?

Hearts ASSETS are valued at 35p a share and that is what Romanov got his equity for.
He didnt pay off debt.He got a bigger slice of the club and that was down to the bank wanting their debt repaid.

By the way.The money that was used is Hearts money.

Romanov has run up debt without purchasing assets and then he takes the debt to buy a bigger share in Hearts.

Its a bit like thanking a robber for returning half of what he has taken from you.

And he has the transfer fees and the interest thats been accrued.

Nothing has changed.
50

victorian of gorgie ,

21/08/2008 13:05:57
#53 TT, no it was YOU who valued hearts at £92M!!!!

you said romanov got his shares at a knock-down price. they wrote off £12M for 13% equity. at that rate, the club would be valued at £92M.

it isn't.

please explain how romanov got shares at a knock-down price then TT.

51

victorian of gorgie ,

21/08/2008 13:07:57
#53 TT, yes and where did the money come from that was spent to increase the debt in the first place?

did it come from a magic money tree in vlads garden?

ha ha ha haaaaaaaa!!!!!

ha ha ha haaaaaaaa!!!!!

ho-hum.

52

tommytommy,

21/08/2008 15:42:35
vic 55

Two points

1)You failed to support the lie that you tried to pass off and everyone who reads this thread will know that.

2)I have explained this to you a million times but your apparant comprehension difficulties seem to prevent you understanding the message.

It is simple vic.In black and white just for you.

The money came from Hearts.

The money that increased Hearts debt to £40 million was NOT spent on assets.

The money was removed from Hearts accounts through the rent payments to Kaunas for players,
through the salaries paid to friends aand family that were put on the club payroll for unspecified work,
through the underhand transfer deals e.g. The Bednar deal,
through invoicing Hearts for living expenses and travel for the multitude of hangers ons who use Hearts accounts as their own.

If you cant understand that that means debt for no return then you are a hopeless case.
53

tommytommy,

21/08/2008 16:00:14
54 vic-who keeps blanking me.

I quoted the official figure given to the Press by Romanov and Hearts.

I repeated Romanovs valuation of his assets.

You concluded that the assets were worth £92 million-not me.

You need to refer your question to Hearts and while youre there ask what the going rate is for a share in Hearts .

54

victorian of gorgie ,

21/08/2008 18:40:21
#57, tommytommy, put doon the mushies for a second, they'll turn your brain into soup. oops too late.

fact. £12M debt written off in exchange for 13% equity.

fact. if that was a true reflection of the value of the shares, that would mean the total would be valued at £92M. it isn't the true value.

fact. you stated at post #47 that romanov got the shares at "a knock down price".

fact. if your assertion was true, that would mean that you are saying that hearts are worth in excess of £92M.

fact. you're a slobbering fool.

cheerio.

55

victorian of gorgie ,

21/08/2008 18:59:57
furthermore tommytonkatoy, what you're suggesting about the debt being artificially inflated in preparation for it being written off in exchange for more equity would constitute false accounting, which is a serious crime.

if you're that outraged about it, take it up with hearts accountants or make a police complaint. i'm sure neither would laugh in your face.

56

tommytommy,

22/08/2008 08:37:42
Repeat- just for you vic.

I quoted the official club line.

The club stated that the shares were valued at 35p each.

The club-the seller-valued their assets at 35p a share.

The buyer -Romanovs group-valued the shares at 35p each.

You should ask Hearts what is going on.

I quoted you ROMANOVS words vic.

57

victorian of gorgie ,

22/08/2008 08:56:05
#60, no YOU should ask hearts what is going on. YOU are the one asking the questions!!!!

i'm quite happy.
58

tommytommy,

22/08/2008 10:32:15
The club and Romanov valued the assets at 35p a share.

I delivered the message.

If you believe that the information is false ask Hearts to verify that their assets are worth 35p a share.

Im easy about the situation vic because i have you by the short and curlies.
