FABIAN Yantorno last night vowed to repay the confidence of Hibs manager Mixu Paatelainen after penning a two-year deal with the Easter Road side.
The 25-year-old is in line to make his competitive debut in today's opening-day encounter with Kilmarnock after being included in the squad for Rugby Park and is desperate to thank the capital club on the pitch after they helped him off it.

The Uruguayan was afforded the use of Hibs' new medical and training facilities when doomed Gretna sacked him in March because they could not afford to pay for his rehabilitation from cruciate knee ligament damage sustained against Falkirk in January.

The forward returned to full training last month and impressed Paatelainen enough in outings against Cowdenbeath, Clyde and Wigan Athletic to earn a contract.

He said: "I'm very, very happy and excited to be given the chance to play for Hibs. I'm really looking forward to the season and to repaying Mixu's confidence and the club's confidence in me.

Hibs gave me hope when they asked me to the club in April and they showed they had confidence in me every day I was here."

Although Morais is not so far a very productive player when he gets his chance in the jersey, I notice that Yantorno seems to bring out the best in him with his good link play. Let's hope he can also achieve that with the other Hibs players that he will play alongside as the season goes on. Not convinced that Hibs made a good selection by signing Keenan. He seems no better and indeed maybe not as good as the likes of Chisholm or Stevenson. I would have kept Keegan Ayres who, from what I have seen, was maturing nicely and could have performed at the higher level.

Good luck Yantorno
looks good every time i see him, he looks like he could be a goos asset to us, but is he going to play him in midfield or up front, midfield, shiels, zemmama, yantorno, thicot, doesnt look right to me, i would move Murray into midfield and play yantotno up front with fletch.
