Its very sad, but I believe true, 'Myths and Ignorance's'!
Is a sad 'factor' of all our Life's!
Whether, "HIV", or a 'Broken-Leg', if we are 'Different', sadly People are all to eager to, chastise us!

HIV, Syphillis, sexually transmitted diseases they would scare the hell out of me and I am a pensioner. Why should they be any different?

That is a bit perverse, how do they think it's mostly caught? By dirty loos? By kissing? Anything but by unprotected sex? No such thing as STD's?

seems fair enough to me if you have no contact with people with these illnesses then you are following your natural survival instinct in other words reducing the risk to yourself

It's nothing to do with survival, it's simple ignorance and fear, fuelled by an ignorant and fearful media. So, I shared a joint with an HIV+ mate last month - no big deal.
