Ward shuts as four get C diff

A HOSPITAL ward has been closed to new admissions after an outbreak of the Clostridium difficile bug, officials revealed yesterday .
The ward at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline was closed on Sunday night after four patients tested positive for the bug. A fifth case is suspected.
NHS Fife said two of the patients who tested positive were still in hospital, displaying symptoms. A third was no longer displaying symptoms but was still in hospital, while the fourth had gone home.
