my wife certainly does not chill out. she has new classes to prepare for. other colleagues are away with primary school kids coming up to secondary so she has to cover for them.

although it does allow a certain amount of leeway, it does make up for the extra hours spent at home both weekday nights and weekends doing school work at most other times. if teachers did work contracted hours then school would come to a grinding halt if extra work not done.

it also also allows her to destress to a certain amount. Although most kisd are great it is the ones who are disruptive cause misery for both staff and pupils alike. Her present school is ok but at previous school she was assaulted twice, once leading to 6 weeks off.
