Mr. Lachie Todd,
Edinburgh 05/12/2008 10:01:55
Today, the forex value of the Pound continues to drop against the Euro and Dollar.
Both US and UK oil prices have also plunged to a three and a half year low. OPEC is to cut oil production in an attempt to stop the price of a barrel of oil going into free-fall!
Head of the US Fed' says this is a lengthy depression, and not a short recession?

Face it, Britain is bust, and in a far bigger mess than practically all medium-sized nations in the developed world (i.e. 2-10m population). Scotland needs to escape the sinking UK Titanic, and fast.
There is no British national 'solution' to the economic mess left by Brown & Darling, nor any benefit from UK union for Scotland. There can only be a very weak upswing, eventually, but long-term the British national economy is bust. #1 comment on soup kitchens is bang on. L-curve!
