PLANS to promote Edinburgh's many festivals internationally under one banner are long overdue and warmly to be welcomed. Scotland's capital city, with its awesome castle, historic Old Town and contemporary bars, restaurants and hotels, is one of the most popular and attractive venues in the world for festival events.
