Lebanon deal averts civil war

RIVAL Lebanese leaders signed a deal yesterday to end 18 months of political conflict that had threatened to push the country to a new civil war.
The agreement also paved the way for the election of General Michel Suleiman as president.

Thank f**k for that. Hezbollah turning on their own people was not a pleasant sight. Syria, Jordan, Lebanon all need to be square in themselves BEFORE the idiots' Bush and Broon try to get to grips with Iran.

The last thing Lebanon needs is a civil war. The country needs to grow and flourish.
