LEBANON'S session of parliament to elect a new president was postponed to 23 October yesterday, as it did not have a two-thirds quorum.
The opposition stayed away, stopping the anti-Syrian majority from choosing a new head of state to succeed the pro-Syrian president, Emile Lahoud.

Postponing until Oct 23 will give the opposition the chance to assasinate even more individuals until the numbers eventually favor them. Democracy can not work with only one side playing by the rules.

You can bet the meddling, dirty hands of Syria are stirring this boycott.

Lebanon has certainly quietened down, all we need now is for Israel to start a new war to stir things up again.
