So Nigel Boddy, from Darlington, wants to push the people of Berwick-on-Tweed into Scotland. He should explain why he wants rid of them before anyone gets too enthusiastic about the idea.

No. It's just a bridgehead. First Berwick goes to Scotland. The rest of the Country follows. Then, in a greater Scotland extending from the Channel to the Orkneys, we can all enjoy Holyrood levels of expenditure. After all, doesn't the SNP welcome immigrants?
