Robert A C Liddell (Letters, 9 October) finds "it incredulous that Prestwick Airport is not named after Scotland's poet". The main reason is probably because it trades off the misnomer of "Glasgow Prestwick". The solution to Mr Liddell's concern is to rename Glasgow Airport after the poet. Indeed, whoever owns the airport after the break-up of BAA's stranglehold might find "Rabbie Burns International – gateway hub to Europe" an attractive marketing
