The claim by the TaxPayers' Alliance that families are paying far more in green taxes than is justified to counter the environmental cost of their carbon emissions will come as a surprise to no-one. It has been evident for years that "green" taxes are, in fact, "Brown" taxes, which are then lost in various black holes. It's little wonder that families are seeing red trying to cope with the household budget blues.
