Insults but no insights

Reading through Iain Gray's article (Debate & Opinion, 28 August ), I was astounded that there was not one policy idea in it. While we might expect general mud-slinging and ad hominem arguments from anti-SNP letter writers, surely a contender for the leadership of Scottish Labour should be using the space accorded to him in a more positive way. Of course, maybe he has no policy ideas.
