Poignant note

The Rev Clifford Hughes describes his care while having cancer treatment, especially his loss of voice (Letters, 18 August). But he omits a poignant element: Clifford Hughes was a broadcasting tenor, as well as a minister of religion, so adding to his feelings on the subject.
