Although no longer a member of the SNP, I fully agree with John Mason that all true Nationalists should constantly strive for an independent sovereign state of Scotland (your report, 16 July). As for "breaking up Britain", I say both branches of the Unionist establishment have been doing that job fine on their own. From Thatcher to Major, from bomber Blair to boring Brown. I'm sure David Cameron will complete it with some aplomb.
