THE last thing Dundee manager Alex Rae needed with boardroom uncertainty surrounding his future was a heavy defeat at home and a section of his team's fans turning against him, however that is what happened as Livingston won 3-0 at Dens Park.
Rae, whose position is rumoured to be up for debate if Dundee businessman John Bennett takes over the club, could empathise with the fans as he was feeling the same way.

Rae said: "I don't mind them giving me stick as I have been in the game lon
g enough to know how it works. The fans are entitled to vent their frustration and I know how they feel as I am hurting too."

Livingston struck five minutes from half time when Chris Innes rose to nod in a Fernando Giarrizzo corner. On-loan Hearts striker Callum Elliot, then netted twice, racing through the home defence with six minutes to go to beat former Dundee goalkeeper Robert Douglas, and then chipping over the former Scotland No 1 in injury time.

Livingston manager Roberto Landi said: "We are improving all the time, however we are still only playing at 50 – 60 per cent of our capabilities."

Partick Thistle got back to winning ways after a defeat and a draw with a 2-1 victory over Morton, which leaves the Greenock men bottom. The home side went ahead eight minutes from half time when midfielder Gary Harkins scored with a close-range header. Morton got level just before the break when Ian Russell shot home, but the winner for the Jags came with 66 minutes played when defender Ian Maxwell scrambled the ball home from a Stephen McKeown corner.

Airdrie United's fine run came to an end as Paul Lovering saw red for an off-the-ball incident after ten minutes and visitors Clyde made off with a 2-0 win.

Ricky Waddell slotted home from ten yards just after half and hour before

Ruari MacLennan added No 2 in the second half.

Queen of the South and St Johnstone shared four goals at Palmerston Park with Doonhamers captain Jim Thomson scoring for both sides. Stephen Dobbie put Queens one up from the spot after Peter Weatherston was tripped in the box.

Thomson headed into his own net in 64 minutes to draw St Johnstone level and Derek McInnes' side went ahead 14 minutes from time when substitute Derek Holmes shot home.

Thomson atoned for his earlier error by scrambling the ball over the line with six minutes to go.

Dunfermline Athletic moved up to fourth place thanks to a 3-1 home win over Ross County. Scott Thomson and Nicky Phinn had them 2-0 up at halftime with Steven Bell adding a third late on.

Steven Craig got Ross County's consolation before Richie Hart was red-carded for his second booking with 20 minutes to go.
