Care worker's porn shame

A SOCIAL care worker has been put on the sex offenders register after a court heard he had hundreds of indecent pictures of young girls on his computer.

A total of 1,770 indecent photographs, mainly of girls aged five to ten, were found on a laptop belonging to Craig Pickup, 29, of Bailie Grove, Edinburgh, the city's Sheriff Court heard.

Sentence on Pickup, who admitted possessing the images between August 2007 and June last year, was deferred until next month for background reports.
