Firm collapse puts 100 jobs under threat

AN EDINBURGH-based civil engineering company which supplied artificial turf for Hearts' training ground has gone into administration.

The collapse of ERDC has put more than 100 jobs at risk.

Staff at the firm's headquarters in Newbridge were dealt the blow at a meeting yesterday and the firm's website has since been shut down.

A KPMG representative confirmed that ERDC had gone into administration and said it was handling the administration procedure.

ERDC, a provider of ground construction and engineering services as well as sports surfaces, was founded in 1955.
