Merger for two city businesses

ONE of Scotland's longest established marketing and design companies has announced a merger with another Edinburgh firm.

Leith-based Edmonds, which is about to complete its 50th year in business, has merged with print buying company Perdiccas, which is also based in the Capital.

Edmonds' managing director David Cowan said that the merger will help it look ahead to the next stage in evolving communications, including e-commerce and multimedia.

Edmonds, which was established by Robert Tytler Edmonds, has been based in the Capital ever since it was set up.
