Mexican police die in border shootout

Gunmen killed three Mexican federal police officers as they waited for a person to cross a bridge from the United States, authorities said yesterday.

The attack on the undercover officers took place beside the Cordova Americas International Bridge between Ciudad Juarez and El Paso, Texas, on Tuesday.
