Mum-to-be hurt in crash

A PREGNANT woman was among four casualties taken to hospital after a collision on the M9 near the Forth Road Bridge.

The accident happened between the bridge and its spur, and involved an HGV vehicle with a trailer and two cars.

An ambulance service spokesman said: "We uplifted four casualties. Two were immobilised purely as a precautionary measure after the impact and the other two were walking wounded. They were taken to the Royal Infirmary."

The casualties were understood to be suffering from back injuries and whiplash. The collision happened at around 11.50am yesterday.
