Broken promises

HOW can anyone believe that the UK economy is recovering? The outstanding debt has increased from £750 billion to £1.5 trillion in the past five years and is increasing monthly. The Labour and Tory-Liberal Democrat governments have overspent on too many extravagant projects and do not even have the decent oil revenue to help pay for their loans. You would have to be very naive to believe that is a recovery.

Those parties are now making dubious and expensive promises for the general election which they cannot afford without extensive tax increases or by risking financial calamity by taking on more loans.

This kind of government is not compatible with reasonable ambition and expectations. Scotland was cheated by spurious promises in the referendum and the UK electorate is about to be similarly duped.
