Show businesses a little love with a nomination

A BUSINESSMAN based in Edinburgh is launching a two-week campaign to highlight the plight of local firms hit by the recession.

Brian Dennehy, who runs marketing website www.thebestof.co.uk from the Capital, is launching the 14 Days of Love campaign and asking people to write testimonials in support of their local businesses.

They have up until Valentine's Day to post them on the website. They will be added to a "Love-O-Meter" on the site, and organisers will then decided which are the most loved businesses.

Mr Dennehy said: "We are so passionate about this campaign because we can't simply rely on the Government to support Edinburgh's businesses. The fact is, this is our community and it's up to us to make a difference."
