Fatal collisions claim two lives

A TEENAGER has been killed in a car crash in the Highlands.

The 17-year-old was a passenger in a silver Citroen which crashed on the B862 Whitebridge to Fort Augustus road near the Suidhe Viewpoint on Saturday, Northern Constabulary said.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident, which happened shortly after 10pm.

Meanwhile, a motorbike passenger has died after a road collision involving two cars near Inverary in Argyll.

The 44-year-old woman died when the motorcycle collided with two cars travelling north at around 4pm on Saturday.

The 51-year-old motorbike driver was taken to Mid Argyll hospital in Lochgilphead, where he is in a stable condition.
