£5m for dentists in hygiene drive

DENTISTS in Scotland will receive an extra £5 million to help them meet new cleaning standards in their surgeries.
New guidelines mean that, from December 2009, practices must carry out the decontamination and cleaning of instruments in a separate, designated area of the surgery.
