A DENTAL practice has been ordered to apologise to a patient deregistered for arriving 15 minutes late for an appointment, it was revealed yesterday.
The patient was delayed by heavy traffic.

The unnamed NHS Lothian practice told the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman that it operated a "zero- tolerance" policy on punctuality. But Professor Alice Brown ruled that NHS regulations were not followed.

These dentists are getting too big for their boots. It's not as if they have a hand to mouth existence, they make a fortune.

My dentist (and doctor) is always approximately 15 minutes late! Most are in my experience. It should be factored into your appointment,

If you wait 15 minutes after you were due to be seen, that's okay ... delays happen. If you wait 30 minutes, after you were due to be seen ... that's a bit much, but not unforseen ... if you wait 45 minutes, after you were due to be seen ... then they're taking the pee and you need to complain ... LOUDLY!!!
