RUDI Völler has poured cold water on speculation that he is about to recruit Rangers striker Kris Boyd to play for him at Bayer Leverkusen.
Völler, who is currently sporting director at the Bundesliga club, rejected claims that he is interested in signing the unsettled Boyd in a £2.75million transfer. "I know the player, of course, but there is no link to us," Völler said yesterday.

"I do not know, where these rumours come from."

At first view it looked a stonewaller, i can't fault the ref for giving it. His assistant is the one you should be questioning.
