The Co-op, as most regulars know it, has three decades' experience of servicing Scotland's cyclists. What began as a single Edinburgh shop is now a UK-wide venture, with shops in Aberdeen, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle, while a comprehensive online store has usurped its old catalogue mail-order service.

The Bike Station is a community project that accepts donated bikes from members of the public and recycles them for use by priority groups of people such as the long term unemployed, those who have been homeless and those with mental health problems. A proportion of renovated bikes are sold to raise funds. In addition we work with schools, groups and individuals to encourage more people to cycle - more often.

NB at other times we have sessions where volunteers fix bikes or strip them for re-usable parts and recycling.

We also run training courses in the Workshop.

Additionally we work 'On Location' in schools, community centres, workplaces etc. WE could come to YOU.

We offer Maintenance training, Cycle Training, 'Dr. Bike' check-ups and the chance to try some of the interesting and useful bikes in our fleet.
