RUSSIA may freeze a reported deal to deliver S-300 air defence systems to Iran, a source was quoted as saying yesterday, days after Moscow and Washington signalled they want better relations.
The foreign ministers of the United States and Russia agreed last week to seek common approaches on Iran, Afghanistan and North Korea.

That would certainly be in their own interests, until the long-suffering Peoples of Iran are delivered from the tyranny of the manic cult currently dominating the country.

#2 ... 'proposed missile and radar sites surrounding Russia.' 'Surrounding' Russia? Don't they teach geography in Ozland? 'Surrounding'? Check again, Rob, then repost. There's going to be (maybe) 1 site in Czechland and (maybe) 1 site in Poland. Maybe a total of a dozen or so interceptors for the whole programme ... that's versus well over 1200 Soviet (yes, Soviet!) ICBMs & TBMs. And the Soviets are threatened by this. You, REob, would do better to turn your attention to Oz's defences ... which wothout the US (that you malign so frequently and so vociferously) would amount to a big zero. The RAN is a joke, as if the RAAF, and the Oz Army is little more than a typical US State Militia or National Guard. Oz and NZ have been total freeloaders and parasites with regard to their own defenses for decades. Its about time they stood up by and for themselves ... i.e., get some nukes before the Chinese, Indonesians and others decide they deserve your real estate more than you lot do.

#5 ... another one that seemingly did not pass geography in school ... Russia 'surrounded' by NATO ... please, before you post such drivel do take a look at the map. NATO 'faces' Russia along maybe 8% of its borders, less if you include the Arctic Ocean margin. Or, maybe 'surrounded' just doesn't mean what it used to?

Iran will not be too happy about that.

Russia should provide Iran with whatever they need to defend themselves against Israel.
